I just performed a handful of really great weddings this past weekend. The weather was so perfect, it was hard to go wrong here in Austin, Texas. However, I wanted to tell you in more detail about one of my favorites! Geneva & Patrick - an adorable couple with great taste - selected Olive and June as their venue. We had the ceremony in their courtyard beneath that huge, old tree decorated with vintage birdcages. So, step 1: cool location.
With Olive and June, they were guaranteed good food, so enter step 2! I love this restaurant and have blogged about it before: http://letsdoitvows.com/blog/2014/3/31/over-the-moon-for-olive-june. The staff was attentive and helpful and the food and drinks were just delicious!
3rd step? Awesome company. Geneva and Patrick managed to keep it intimate but still have a fun selection of friends and family.
And, finally, step 4: good tunes. Fortunately, the couple is friends with Austin singer Trent Durham (Geneva calls him "the Velvet Voice"). So, Trent and his collaborator, David Pulkingham, set the scene perfectly!
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4 (although I'm sure Geneva would disagree) - but, what a nice party!
