Dreading your first dance? My husband and I thought we take care of that by NOT having a first dance! Well, that didn't work out as planned. No one would hit the dance floor in fear that they were breaking code. So, we were forced to dance. Unprepared! And to a song that turned out to be a 10 minute medley! Ouch.
Fortunately, we like rockabilly and swing music and had clocked our fair share of time on the dance floor. (I'll have to tell you the "When Swing Dancing Goes Bad" story some day. It involves a bloody nose.)
But, the point of this post is that in lieu of bowing out on the big dance, maybe you should take the bull by the horns and do something tremendous! (Or at least not totally embarrassing.) And, as luck would have it, I just met a cool dance instructor here in Austin. Her name is Campbell Miller and she is an instructor at Austin Social Dance. From the looks of their web offerings, I'd say Campbell can hook you up for your big day!
