I've gotten some feedback recently that couples are actually using my Vendors Page and that makes me very happy for several reasons. First, these vendors are, for the most part, actual friends of mine and I love to support them! Second, the fact that they are all local (with the exception of my college roommate, Bronwen, the oompa loompa chocolatier) completely works with the whole "Keep Austin Weird" or "Keep Austinites Employed" or "Keep Austin Weddings Cool" vibe I am striving for.
As you may know, I do some design myself, and am always happy to chat with a couple to see if I am a design match (in addition to being an officiant one). But, my style is pretty specific and I was looking for someone local with a broader scope to recommend for Save the Dates, Invitations, Programs, etc.
Yesterday, I was at the East Austin Studio Tour (some of my collage work is featured at Metropolitan Gallery in the Canopy arts complex, forgive the plug!) and I stumbled up Studio Slo Mo, a letterpress and design studio run by another Sarah. I fell in love with her clever designs and ended up buying some Lollipop prints and a card that says "Let's Make Out" (much to the horror of my 8 year old).
Sarah was friends and cool, I can tell she would be a joy to work with. So - brides (and grooms!) - if you are wanting some local specially designed and printed pieces for your big day, check out Studio Slo Mo!
